Your Questions
January 7, 2010I use this page to answer any questions that seem to pop up quite often in emails and on the phone. If you have any questions they may be answered on this page but if they’re not feel free to just drop me an email with any questions that you have.
I’d like to take advantage of your CD offer. But I’m nervous about organising additional prints. Will you show me how to print them and how to get prints made up?
Absolutely. Along with the CD, I will make print recommendations for you. Don’t forget that when you book a premium session with me you get to choose a selection of images to accompany your CD. You can also call me any time if you encounter any problems along the way.
I’d like some black and white images, as well as some colour ones, can you do both?
Yes. It’s my job to create the images you’re looking for. If you want some B&W and some colour, it’s no problem. Just let me know.
What about clothing for the photo shoot, can you recommend what I should wear?
If you’d like my input, I’m more than happy to take the time to talk this through with you or I can look over clothing options on the day itself and let you know what I think will photograph best.
What size can I print the images?
My camera shoots high resolution images so you can pretty much print them as big as you want!
How do I schedule my newborn photo session when I don’t know when my baby will be born?!
The important bit is to try to book your newborn photo session while you are pregnant – when you know your estimate due date, just let me know and I will keep some time free on various dates near to it. Ideally newborn sessions should be held within the first 2 weeks to get those super adorable, bendy, sleepy baby poses.
Do you use studio lighting or natural lighting? I want the shoot to take place at my own home, are you able to bring studio lighting?
The quick answer is I use both studio and natural light depending upon what I’m trying to achieve. If I come to your home to take photographs I bring all of the equipment including appropriate studio lighting to make sure that you get the very best pictures.
I want to purchase some additional prints from you – how long do your prints last?
I outsource printing to a professional photo lab in London. They print everything onto Kodak Endura paper which can be expected to last 100 years when put on display under typical conditions in an average home. Stored in a dark, dry, cool place, they can be expected to last 200 years.
